Waste of Time

Not all of us are athletes, or doctors, lawyers, or even burger flippers.
Some are artists, writers, creators.
And those are considered "Waste of time"
Wanting to do what you are passionate about isn't a waste of time.
What is a time waster is listening to other's odious comments and letting it prevent our progress.
And that is something I need to remember.
My entire family (besides my mamma) believe what I am doing is a waste of time. And it has really gotten me down sometimes, to the point where I wanted to give up certain projects.
Instead, I just cannot give in, I need to progress, I need to accomplish my goals, and I cannot any 1 or many mundane sounds coming from some face hole of a terrible people prevent me from doing such.

There will be people who always point out others , who are they..and why should we do according to their interest , will they do anything according to our interest.., the answer will be definitely no..so they should shut their mouth . It's your life ..you love what you do..go ahead

As someone from a family of artists and musicians and writers who are not famous (except my son and sister seem to becoming well known,) and having worked in childcare I know what you mean. We are all quite happy to not have "proper" jobs. Do not give up. If you have a talent the Bible says you must not waste it.

Thank you, that means a lot. I guess my family needs a bit more bible study because they are supposed "Christians" yet they judge every last little thing I do, haha

@DesirousDreamerI think the previous generation grew up with very specific ideas about what was proper and what wasn't. The fact that I taught people how to work in playgroups and nurseries was not seen as a great thing because it was not a "proper" job. In fact I have a degree I done the first person in my family to do have one or to have gone to University at all and PGCE. But you see mine is adult education Andrea need to be a teacher you would have to be a teacher of infants or Juniors or serious but certainly not have adults because that isn't real. To be fair I think my parents have now realised that I am qualified. However for them at real job as always been in a bank or something like that.Being a writer definitely does not qualify

That's a mentality that belongs to the past, I think. My parents also wanted me to do something more "technical". If it makes you happy and you know it's the right path for you, just ignore what other people say.

And when you finally reach your destination and accomplish your goals, the same people will come back to you and say, wow, you really did it and i knew you will get here long back.
There is a saying, they will bring you down today, but once you are successful, they will tell everyone the stories about how they met you.
Its all about us how we take it, we need to be positive about what we want to do, and work towards it. Stones wil be thrown at everything we do. Turn them to be a stepping stone to success and you will be there soon.
