Are you friendly enough not to make a heated arguments here?

For the past months of staying here and be active, I've seen a lot of heated arguments in some discussion. And I find it not healthy at all. I mean, I think we are all open-minded here, and for that, we respect others discussion and comments. We all know that we have language barrier because most of the members here are not a Native Language speaker, and some have issues with their grammar most of the time. Even myself I can say I have grammar lapses. But that doesn't mean I cannot understand if one member is being sarcastic or condescending. I received a lot of them before and because I am too friendly, I go with the flow. And being like that, it will not make you famous here.

I do like Sabrina, if a comment is offensive I delete it, if it's too rude and offensive I report. Here must stay a friendly site, English is not my mother language, I know that I make mistakes time by time.

Me too, I also like Sabrina. She is so friendly. And I like to have a conversation with her. I agree nobody is perfect here anyway. If we think their grammar is wrong, we can tell them through a private chat.

@JustBhem I fully agree, if I spot a mistake (especially in the title) I send a personal message.

@LadyDuck Nothing bad to stand corrected but of course in a nice personal way.

Through the internet, it's sometimes difficult to capture a irony. Even if you know well the person you are talking to, it's easy to get lost. Intonation makes a big chunk of communication. On the other hand, I do not take discussion too seriously. It's just the internet, and we won't be able to convince others to think like us, no matter how hard we try.

I agree, we have different perception and sometimes ours is not the same as theirs. But most importantly, respect and understand the situation.

I had never been a part of a heated argument on here and I never want to be. I am not like that. I am never rude to anybody. I would rather scroll on by then be rude or sarcastic to somebody. I am the same way in person. I do not like confrontation or conflict.

Yeah. Respect my friend. It can solve problems. One must not be correct to respect. You need not agree with them. But respect

@SanyoSan I understand that. They respect themselves but don't respect others.

@JustBhem But most of the time, fighters involved have self respect but won't respect the other

I treat it as a learning opportunity. Sometimes, even heated arguments have something positive to give us, don't they? They tell us this word is not ok..or this usage is not ok...and that thing sticks for lifetime. Personally I wouldn't go on offensive. But if the thing is being hurled at my friends who have come there just because I was there, I will stand up.
