I always love to read the posts by @JudyEv about her country of Australia. The beauty, critters and the pictures. Last night however on the National Geographic channel, they had three back to back episodes about the serious drug problem there. There are several biker gangs there (Black Demons and Triad), that bring in Ice (Meth) from China and the sales are in the millions of dollars. Sidney and Brisbane are the hardest hit cities with tons of calls for ambulances because of overdoses. Columbian cocaine is also being imported. Another influx of drugs from China is entering Bangkok, Thailand where a product called Yaba is a chocolate-smelling pill given to kids to get them hooked. Roughly 30,000 tons of Yaba are sent into Thailand. The authorities are doing their best to fight the traffickers which receive the death penalty if caught and if a person has 10 Yaba pills, that will equal 10 years in prison. An interesting fact is that the Kamikaze pilots during WWII were given Meth. We think the USA is the only place out of control with drug use from the dope being shipped in from Mexico, but it appears that China is our biggest threat to the world when it comes to deadly drugs.

It's a global problem, sadly. The issue is that there is always demand for those things, and therefore the supply is continuous too.
