Learning at home is the first step of the child to acquire knowledge. He can learn his good attitude that parent's could teach. He can learn how to interact with others, also he can learn how to make his own decisions in life While teachers teach academic subjects, manners, also enhancing their social interaction. I'm an ESL teacher who teaches wide variety of age groups. I can say that patience is a must when you are a teacher. Teaching from kids to adults is a tough one. But in the midst of discussion teachers also enjoy the student's company. Sharing knowledge to others is a great thing.

You are so true that parents are the first teachers, when I was a kid, I was afraid to interact with other people, because my mother always ask me to stay in a room if we had a guest. So till now, I'm not good at entertaining guest, since I used to hide when we had one.

Yeah, me too. When I first saw my school in kinder garten I didn't feel shock because before I start studying there they tour me there.

@MALUSE. Nope. It's not the literal tour, it's like a demo class. So that a child will not get shocked for the first day of the actual class.

I can totally connect with what you are saying as I have been a teacher myself. used to teach primary children and can certainly confirm that it is always great fun to interact with those little ones who are always coming up with something new.. sometimes only to grab attention though.. :D I really enjoyed teaching. And yes, of course learning begins at home that's why our mother is often referred to as our first teacher.. :)

Parents are our first teacher, and home is our first school. Teachers teaches us academic syllabus at school, but manners, good behaviour , we learn from home. Its the duty of the parents to teach children good manners so that wherever they go they will follow it. It is said what u preach at home ,you practice outside. So its very important to have good manners and behaviour . So it is the duty of both parents and teachers to develop the character of children.

I know teaching is one of the most difficult jobs around, especially teaching children who are below 7 years it needs a patient teacher. I give all the respect to the kindergarten teachers they have the hardest part of teaching.

I agree that home is the the most important place for children to learn and good parents are the best teachers. Does ESL stand for English Sign Language or something else?

You are an online teacher? That's very nice. It's one of my plans but I failed to make it due to some health reasons.
