I would rather someone who knows that they wouldnt be a good parent, stay childless. I know so many people who had kids cause thats what your "suppose" to do and they are horrible parents. I feel bad for those kids....
so maybe its something like that, they know they wouldnt make a good parent, or they dont like kids or something.

That's a beautiful photograph by the way!
I was just reading an article in Newsweek entitled "Beyond babies" http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14535863/site/newsweek which talks about the "new culture of childlessness" trend. It attributes it to "a complex combination of factors, including relationships, career opportunities, lifestyle and economics."
At 33 I still do not have children and it not because I don't want any but my priorities were to get a proper education and job that would allow me to provide for my children.

you should do it faster.so that you will not have any difficulties in delivering the baby. if not then try to see a doctor.

There are lots of biological, antropological and other sciences reasons to have kids, but today many people marry each other just because they love. And maybe they are happy without the problems everybody has with kids. I am not saying kids are bad, ok? But they will have more time to career and themselves, at least...

I think they like the freedom of being able to do whatever they want when they want. Or maybe they had a bad childhood so they don't want to have children also maybe those couples don't like the way the world is so they don't want to raise children in this day and age.

Either parents have learned that children are a big responsibility and wouldn't want to handle that, or children are a big nuisance and they'd be better off childless.
I hope it's the former.

Good question, im having difficulties falling pregnant and think that anyone who can physically have kids are very lucky. Although i have some older friends who are married and both parties are quite happy not to have children. Their choice is their dog who is their "baby" and if it makes them happy, why not? lol. Bringing a child into the world is a miracle but not for everyone. All too often you hear of abused children and horriffic stories of brutality by parents against children. I think its just personal choice.

More and more people are putting it off in order to complete an education or advance in their career. I think it's hard for women to know when that magic time should be. For me, I decided I didn't want a career, but wanted a family instead. I didn't want to try and balance them both, because I knew they'd both suffer... both take so much committment. One day when my kids are older, I plan on doing something career wise... if no one wants me at that age, then I'll just work for myself!

im not completely sure besides medical reasons, but i think its kind of selfish. waiting until your financially stable is fine but deciding to never have any children by choice just doesnt seem right to me.

you also have a point there. Actually some couples decide before marriage never to have children, others keep postponing conception waiting for the right time until they decide that the right time will never come.i think some of the couples want to concentrate on careers or social causes.

I for sure want kids one day but my older brother has chosen not to get them. he has no medical reason, he just doesn´t want them. he also feels that the world we live in now is no place for a kid.. But like I said - I want kids=)

Truthfully i think some couples decide to have no kids because they get caught up in the partying and just don't want to stop. Me and my wife partied alot and truthfully that's how we ended up havin the kid too. But i wanted to have a boy anyway before i got too old to have kids and then when they grow up your too damn old that you can't even play ball with them. I think there's an age in some people where if their in their 20's they say yea lets have kids but after 30 they just decide not too because it would be such a lifechange. I have a 10 month old son and i'm 29 and i'm glad i had him even though it was a little late in the game. He's awesome and i can't wait to do all sorts of fun crap with him, truthfully my wifes scared because it'll bring out the kid in me too...LOL
