Why some people are denouncing some Harvey Weinstein Victims for staying silent for a long time?

I notice many people are questioning the credibility of the women who took years and decades to admit that they were sexually harassed by Weinstein. I even saw people defending Weinstein.
We are talking about a Billion dollar man who is very influential and powerful in Hollywood. Most of the victims are actresses. They are threatened with their careers and dignity by this man. That is why they stayed silent about it.

I was never sexually abused but I experience a teacher hitting my head with a broom and the broom broke into 2. I got concussions from it. I was scared of the teacher so I didnt tell my parents. I regret not telling it because that teacher continued to be abusive for few more years but I heard students finally spoke up.
I understand the victims who took years to speak up.They are afraid because he is a very powerful man.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Exactly, the victims are afraid because the abusers are always powerful men or women and they abuse younger people with no experience and the need to work.

@LadyDuck Now even male stars are speaking up that powerful men in Hollywood raped them too. They didnt name names but Terry crews said a Hollywood producer groped him in front of his wife during a party and Rob Schneider said he got raped by a producer when he was a teen.

It is not easy to say when stuff like this happens to you. Only recently I finally told a friend about the schoolteacher who put his hand down my dress at the school party. You see, everyone thought a lot of the guy and it kind of gets into your brain people might not believe you. I can understand these women well. I think you mature and eventually realise that you have a right to speak out. I am sure the women felt threatened and we have to bear in mind that people were not so aware years ago. My college lecturer locked me in a room with him and I did get away, but when I complained to the college, it was "Oh the silly, silly man," People didn't realise how bad it was or expected you to just get on with life until about the 1990.
I was worried it would affect my education and my degree in some way. It was a different world back then.
There is more publicity now and more understanding which is why people can speak out. I speak out because I don't see why the abuser should not be exposed. If it took them time to speak, so what? They spoke out now.
And yes, in my experience, people do defend abusive people because they cannot imagine the person hurting THEM and cannot place themselves in another person's shoes.

I am starting to see some men defending rapist thinking their innocent and the women are just being feminist. Those men are obviously disgusting pigs to have mindsets like that.
I think Weinstein trying to sexually harass a non actress woman is a blessing in disguise because a non actress woman have nothing to lose. She is not part of the system and her bravery to fight him give the actresses he abused the courage to reveal him and expose him.

I agree that is why some stayed silent for so long. He was basically their key to success.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I am sure there are multiple reasons for calling him out on it. Not all are pure motives, but some are.
