Hey everyone I hope your doing well. =) Today has been a good day here. The day went by pretty quickly, surprisingly. The kids did lots of school work today and earned some trophies! They did Social studies-learned about rural, urban and suburban areas. They learned about different animals in science. They learned subjects and predicates in English. And they did some word problems in math. We also went fishing off our dock, but only caught a turtle which wasn't the plan! Lol. They also helped cook lunch today. =) Now we are going to get showers taken and it will be bedtime shortly after that. I hope your day has gone well too!

Turtle soup? Personally I have never had it, but hear it is pretty tasty. Lol What did the kiddos win trophies in?

Do you correlate your curriculum with the local school district or, even better, a national one? It always sounds to me like they do a lot of worksheets. What about some inquiry lessons? How about some mini-research lessons?

@NJChicaa It's a state accredited online program, not worksheets. The only thing they use worksheets for is to practice writing, in print and cursive.

@NJChicaa Nope, they do the online learning program and worksheets to supplement it. The only time we did workbooks was when we were in the apartment because I didn't have enough space for all of their textbooks and I didn't know about this program yet.

@LovingMyBabies oh okay because homeschooling makes my head explode normally. I thought I've seen you report on having the kids doing math and language worksheets for many days. MANY days.

How big was the turtle which you caught? I don't often see those things, so I am always curious.

You are such a good mom - and teacher too! Today went rather smoothly . . . right now we're trying to put finishing touches to our games for the Fall Festival at my little son's school tomorrow. It might be a late night for me!
