Good morning to all. How is everyone doing today? Every Sunday for the last past year my family and I have been gong to my mother in laws house for dinner. Although I am very grateful that she is able to cook for all of us and it does save me time in my kitchen. But today is one of those days for me and I just don't want to go. I have been doing this for some time now and have never missed going but after working 50 hours this week I just want to stay at home and relax on my day off. If I not not go do you thing it would be rude of me? Any suggestions?

Send your husband and kids, tell him to tell them your are exhausted and maybe coming down with something, you will rest today. Then enjoy the day off to yourself. No I do not find being so tired that you NEED rest as rude.

As long as the rest of the family goes and you truly just want to rest, I think your mother-in-law will understand, especially if you don't make a habit of it. Enjoy your quiet time alone.

I don´t see anything wrong, but maybe she mighty. So I would tell a white lie and say you are not feeling well. Those lies don´t hurt.

There is nothing wrong, you are tired and you need to rest. Say your husband to go and excuse you because you are too tired and you need to stay at home.

I don`t see any rudeness about having your own day at home It`s your choice to spent your sundays at their place long time and if you don`t feel to go for sometime, I don`t see anything wrong with that
