Hot Potato!

Tonight for dinner we had some chicken, a salad, and a baked potato. We have been eating poorly the last few days, two days in a row we had chili and last night we had frozen pizzas, so we needed a salad.
I wasn't there for when this happened but my mom told me what had happened.
So, to make things easier, my mom pushes the potatoes in the microwave. I know that isn't healthy, but...whatever. And waits for it to soften.
Then after it is done it is put on our plates ready to prepare them with the butter.
But before we cut into them, my mom puts the meat on the plate. When she goes to put the chicken on my plate apparently the potato was so hot that it actually broke my plate!
It is a plastic plate so that happens, but never had any of our plates break because of a hot potato!
That is nuts! Good thing it wasn't glass, glass isn't allowed in this household.
I was saying that the plate was trying to play hot potato and tried to launch the potato off.

Really that hot potato broke your plate, if it happens in my country, that could have been a bad luck... such superstition.

Baked potatoes aren't healthy? Funny, I always heard they were. Cause it's potato.
Weird the plate broke.

Well potatoes aren't that healthy because they are starch and that doesn't break down in the body very well, but I was meaning of cooking them in the microwave

@DesirousDreamer weve never been told they're bad for you, or that cooking them in the microwave is. Thats how everyone here makes them

@Courtlynn Haha, it is a big thing over here that potatoes are bad for you, because really they are if you eat too many of them. And using the microwave isn't the best either, but I barely use it anyway.

The hot potato busted a plastic plate? Why is glass not allowed?
