The power of herbal medicine.

Unfortunately - depending on the country - this type of remedy is still largely neglected (by science as well as by the general public) because it is considered something to be too rustic or ineffective. Although many scientific studies have already been published (and proven) on the subject, it seems that the pharmaceutical industry is still winning the war. What is your opinion about it?

I am always looking for different ways to take care of some issues I have by finding different home products that I can use instead of pills. So far it has worked as I stopped taking a diabetes medicine and am using some things I read about and have in my own kitchen. The doctor was amazed when I told her and since then, that was 2 years ago, I have been reading how bad the medicine I was taken is now being taken off the market for serious problems.

The rural and tribal people have a lot of knowledge about medicinal and edible usages about the plants growing wildly in their locality. There is an urgent need of conservation and proper documentation of this traditional knowledge and plant wealth.
