Warning: MyLot Has Malware

I haven’t been on myLot for a few days. That’s because the last time I tried to log on my computer screen turned red and there was this warning:
This site has malware that may damage your photos, passwords and even your credit card information.
I quickly got off the internet and ran my anti-virus software. Nothing was detected. So I waited until tonight and tried again. The problem must have been solved. My screen did not turn red and there was no warning.
It may have been a trick but I did not click on anything on the red screen that was under the warning. I just closed the internet. I can’t remember what it said after the warning, I just remember there was a couple of boxes that looked like boxes to click on. I said, “No thank you,” to the boxes and got out of there.
I’m glad to see that’s gone and was able to get back on the site.

I haven't experienced this but I'm not here that often so maybe I got lucky.

I don't do any of the offers here because there are unwanted cookies and spyware included in them. They won't actually harm your computer but they are intrusive and I don't want them. Most commercial sites that don't represent a real life business have malware, spyware, and viruses that they spread in order to make money.
I've never gotten anything malicious from myLot but I do get an awful lot of unwanted cookies by sites I've never even heard of that are lurking here and collecting information.

I don't doubt that. I have never done any offers, either.

Wish you were able to take a screen shot so we can study it but I do understand your apprehension when it suddenly happened.

This site is beginning to sound dangerous.

Yes, but it all sounds and looks like somebody is trying to draw us away from the site into something that is dangerous.
