I really don't think so at that age. Most kids are scared when they have a nightmare and most are scared of really bad loud storms and such. They do not understand what is happening or why. Try to talk to him about it. Comfort him, let him know it is alright and that you are there. Explain that a dream is just that a dream. That weather can get bad but you are there to hold him when he is scared of it.

@Cynthiaqiqi Thank you, I try to be a good mom, having 8 kids kinda makes it so you get to know how different kids act. lol

No. Children get fearful for many reasons. Talk to the child and reassure them. I should know. I was that child. The worst things you can do is either add to or belittle the fear. With all the news around it is not surprising young children are fearful
