@Hhappy No. It`s not a joke as you only indicated in your discussion about you being angry as I can imagine that you`re shouting at your daughter when telling something because when I was a teenanger, The more my mom showed me anger and shouts without telling me the reason why I should or must follow her will gets me confused and not do anything about it as I can`t understand her point

Very normal for teens, I think girls are harder then boys too. I have 6 girls and 2 boys. Only 1 child at home now as the others have all left the nest to make their own lives. The one home is our 10 year old daughter. Having gone thru 5 teen girls I do feel for you. Try to remember how it felt when you were a teen. That can help sometimes.

@Hhappy My mom had us 2 and had to work 3 jobs, respect her so much. She said she was lucky I was a good teen and took care of my younger brother. I wanted to make her proud as she did so much for us. However most don't realize what we all do and give for them.

@Hhappy that is common attitude for a teenager , but you should not always be angry about it.Talk on the topics you both have a common interest over, if not just find something she is interested in.Though this doesn't mean you are compromising to please her overly rather at times it is necessary to wear a parents' attitude.

Both of you just needs to sit down and talk and try to hear her too.
Most of the teens down get it that what we want for them is whats best for them.
When was the last time you and your daugther had a good chat or bonding?
