Really? Really dude?
There is so much to discuss and work on this country but we play right wing left wing all damn day. Let's not have the Muslim Hindu differences cool down even a little. So, make Taj the target. The monument that brings crores of revenue alone into the country and is the front face of Indian tourism all over the globe.
Those calling for removing/replacing history, do they even know the history? You know this is how Taliban, ISIS and even Pakistan behaves in its "fundamentalism", "extremism". Are we really going that path they already have walked? How does it make us any different from them?

@yugocean Yogi might come out as sharp-tongued or extreme as some would call him but he raises good concerns at times. Not always

@Daljinder Yogi might have scolded him, but many MLA's do not care.
History might be better, but I will only accepted authentic History.
Sangeet Som's views do not have any Historical facts .

I think we should preserve what we have and not destroy them . Taj Mahal is not only a cultural heritage it is our pride. So and other monuments too like Victoria have to be renovated.

@mysimplelot Exactly! We should be cherishing them and try to preserve those that are being ignored or have been forgotten. We are in a phase where this country is expected to make great changes and what are these people doing? They are hell-bent on destroying it.

That is the biggest problem in this world. Those who don't realize what they are doing do things all wrong.

@Daljinder ....Ummmm what the hell? Why are people stupid? I think it's certain people that need to be removed and not wonderful, historical places.

@Daljinder I kinda have a feeling it's something else. I mean it could be exactly what you said too! But, I am hearing stories of historical statues, books etc are being removed from various places. Rumour has it that it's to prepare for the next generation so they won't know the truth about history. But I don't know. Either way, it's stupid.

@VivaLaDani13 Ain't that be grand with them laying foundation for erasing the history / manipulating history for future generations. Much in the same that it had been manipulated for us as well by previous generations. Its the same way grooming / abuse works by erasing past memories or overwriting them or discrediting them in a way that they become invalid/ obsolete leaving a blank canvas for the groomers/ abusers to write whatever they want into the psyche.

@VivaLaDani13 It is the result of anti-Muslim agenda of politicians to win votes. We have about or over 1000s of years of history where Indian subcontinent was ruled/ invaded/ plundered by Muslim conquerors. So, some astonishingly intelligent rare human specimen have decided to get revenge for that from present Muslim generations, to prove their "patriotism", their "loyalty" to the country. Truly remarkable!
I just wonder why?

@NoorNoor It's not the problem of Indian institution. It is the rivalry between certain portions of Hindus and Muslims population in India.

@just4him They are small groups of people that are trying. Taj Mahal is under the protection of Indian military ever since Pakistan threatened it in the past. Its under heavy security. SO, they can only dream.

@responsiveme This is one of the main reasons I abhor politicians. Only select few are honest. The only want votes and for that they are ready to do anything.......morals, integrity, dignity, humanity, the country, its people ...all be damned.
