I don't know but there has, in my experience, been some correlation between certain names and the type of person who shares them. If there is any link, though, I would say it is more a case that some of those names are chosen by a particular type of parent.
I sort of think that our name can have a bearing on things but, again, it may not necessarily be the name itself but the perception of it. I think I do act a little differently depending on which of my names people use for me but that's probably more of a comfort thing. In official circles, I'm often called by my full first name whereas my friends call me the shortened version. So, I think, it's more that it's a combination of the name having certain connotations as well as our own perceptions of ourselves.
I can't wait to marry my other half and take his name. I don't know if I will change but I do think his name is more prestigious (if that's the right word) than mine!

I had many names I was born with. One is my Hebrew name which was Hannah and I changed it here in Israel to Hanni. In he bible Hannah had a very hard time getting pregnant and did not want to identify with her and yet she had 7 sons and the only child I would have had I had a miscarriage and did not get the chance to be a mother to a human child. I had animals instead and loved and love them very much.
