Just remembering those days we use to have pen pals. We would write letters to our pen friends and they would write back to us. it was fun having to write to a friend from far and also there was stamp collection where we would collect different stamps and keep them neatly in a stamp collection book.
The digital world has come up with Facebook, twitter and many more sites which have made us forget all the hobbies we had.
Did you ever have a penfriend and do they really exist these days. Does stamp collection exist now. With the mobile phones now do people still post letters and telegrams, post cards?

Ha ha, I was one of those teenagers at that era writing penpals. I think I still have those letters.

I had many pen pals from all over the world. It was always nice to receive a letter in the mail. I have reconnected with a few of them on Facebook.

@nangayo Yes they were. We use to also exchange little souvenirs from our countries with each other.

Penpal has been revived by a group of people on Instagram. If you have an instagram account and search for hashtag pen pal you would see a lot of people still doing it these days.
I have pen pals. One from Malaysia, Indonesia, and UK.

@nangayo I think if we gave it a little time we could get our writing hand back and the expense of sending real mail might not be a disadvantage as long as it wasn't too many. It is slower so that we need to consider. Lazy I don't know maybe I just wonder if it is worth it? You know it should be worth it. Nice thought here.

i do very little of it today. but if i were not so disabled i would be as before with going to mail and pick up letters etc. 15 yrs ago, i had around 12 pen pals and a large collection of special stamps and other collections.

There is a site called Postloop for people to send postcards around the world. It's fun. Last year, several people here exchanged addresses, I have quite a number of them, and sent postcards. I still send them to friends here, and am gathering addresses to send Christmas cards. If you would like a postcard, pm me your address.

I think there's few people who have it now, with the advent of technology.
