Do you like waking up before the sun rises?

Now that I'm working more at my friend's preschool, I have to get up at 6 AM most mornings. I actually enjoy it--it reminds me of the days when we'd get up at about 5:30 to stack hay up in Montana before it got hot. Here's a picture of the sunrise the other morning, when the haze from the fires to the North was still pretty thick. The sky should have been blue. Do you like waking up before the sun?

It's always dark when I get up at 3:30 to get ready to go to the pool. Now dawn seems to be happening about the time I'm getting out of the pool to come home. I don't mind it.

Seems like the sun is starting to rise here around 6:45 or 7 AM. I'll have to check.

@TheHorse That sounds about right, since it's been still dark when I come out of the Y at that time. It's different having to turn my lights on when I leave the Y. Signs of the times. Winter is coming. Soon we'll be turning those clocks, and really messing up when the sun comes up.

I like to get up when sleep leaves me and not when the alarm clock dictates that I get up. Yes, early mornings are beautiful.

I consider myself a night owl, Janet, but not quite where I stay up until the sun rises unless I'm working that is.

Oh coffee, I cannot start my day without my cup of coffee. While sipping my coffee I would roam around the garden to see the plants, then to our pets.

I am an early bird AND a night owl. Does that mean I'd better check to see if I'm getting enough sleep?

No. I always woke up after sunrise. It's maybe because I am living near my office location.

I wake up a lot of the time before the sun rises, pony. Sometimes very early in the morning, like at 3 am or so. Other times I wake up with my alarm at 8:30 am.

What makes you wake up at 3 AM? When I wake up at 3 AM, I usually just had a dream or something. I get back to sleep pretty quickly.

I'm always late waking up in the morning. Before I used to because the time of work is 6 am so I need to get up at exactly 4:30.

I like to wake up early and before even taking shower, I do my yoga session - it gives me nice energy and makes me feel ready for whatever comes during the day.

@TheHorse Try some morning yoga tutorials on youtube - there are many short practices of only 10 mins, but even these make you feel better. I am talking from my own experience - yoga helps me sort of slowly wake up. I also feel like my posture has improved overall.

I am usually up between 5 and 5:30 earlier if it is my babysitting day. When I was working I always had the earliest and longest run so I was up early. I like being up early, I get more done that way.

© 2017 Marsha Musselman All Rights Reserved. Recent sunrise in parking lot when leaving work.
If I happen to be up before the sun I like to see the sunrise or the clouds and the colors as the sun rises. But, I don't particularly like to be up that early, no. I tend to be a night owl. I wasn't allowed to stay up late when I was young, and Id on't remember how late I stayed up once I left home, but as I got older it was easy staying up until mid morning if I could sleep in until nine or ten or so. I have worked jobs where I had to be to work at seven am, but I shy away from those when I have the choice in the matter. I did happen to be up before the sun recently since I had to work the midnight shift at my cashiering job. In fact, when I left on Monday morning a few other workers that just left were commenting on the sky. I looked and it looked rather gray to me until I got in my car and looked toward the sunrise. I'm going to try to find my picture of that morning.

Usually I used to wake up at 5:30 AM .Its because I am having lectures at 8 .I have to be inside the college campus at 7:30. I will board the bus usually between 6:20 or 6:30. If I left my college bus I would get in trouble .So I usually wake up at 5:30 to 5:45.
