Hey, Mom, I'm okay! Or for some of you sweet persons, hey Dad, I'm okay!
I got into the airport about 6 pm last night. Dark coming on fast. Me not having a single bit of rested brain in me. I found my car in the parking garage and after having given over my debit card and paid my debt for the car's safety while I was gone, I headed out to the highway.
I kept the car steering between the lines, not working any speed limit, not driving like a turtle. Halfway home, I stopped at a little town and grabbed a cheeseburger and fries. Hot fries in the hand have a way of keeping the mind awake and alert.
Just over two hours and there in the dark, and I mean dark, my driveway waited. I sure was delighted to find it. The homecoming was fantastic. Everybody doing their form of a dance. This is my Gads I'm tired day. By tomorrow I'll be better.
So I'm home, Mom and Dad! Safe and home.

@celticeagle Yes to horrific traffic but mostly its so hot and blue sky there. Daughter did not use air conditioning in her car cause it would lessen the car's oomph. Very little respite from the dry heat. And then the matter of cactus and rocky yards. I'm into green and trees.

Glad you made it home safe and sound. I take it you were at the Spokane International.

@RichardMeister Yes. Spokane's airport is doable for me. Seattle's airport is just too large and the traffic a nightmare. I did fly in there and then out to Spokane- silly half hour flight but nothing I could do about it.

@sallypup I haven't flown since the late 70s–early 80s. I'm certain a lot has changed since then.

@RichardMeister Wow!! That's amazing. Flight over, I had a teeny bit of friction. Got frisked by security guards- only metal thing on me was my necklace. The guard lady had me heist my slacks a bit so that she could check out my ankles. They finally decided I was harmless. On the way back, the guy who checked my driver's license decided I was harmless right off- he put me in the priority line and oooh boy! No shoe taking off, no removing the computer from its case, no taking kleenex and keys from pockets. Just walk through the security X Ray gizmo and go.

@TiarasOceanView Thanks. Funny how I sleep deeper when I've got a 17 pound cat smooshed up against me.
