well, like me as long as I can, I want to answer some of the discussion here, I want to make a comment about my opinion about something. But there was a situation that, you really don't want to answer because of the topic.

I tend to ignore political posts. I used to be interested in discussing politics because of all the new ideas I would learn--not necessarily agree with but new trains of thought are fascinating. For the past 9 years, though, I've found that there is no discussion. Someone posts an idea or an opinion and there's a war. Everyone is right and everyone else is an idiot, a racist, a misogynist, uninformed, etc. There are very few open minds any more when it comes to the politics of social issues, government, fiscal issues, etc. There is just contention and single-mindedness.

You pretty much express why I don't respond to political posts anymore. Not worth the arguing and ill will generated.

It's hard to talk about the politics here. because we're not at the same nation. like talking about something great but not applicable to the situation. but politics is a good topic to earn more comments, like the religion and science, but the problem is, how it's going to end.

I usually can say something just about anything but don't have the time to answer every discussion.

I don't really " hate" since everybody is entitled to what topics they like to post so long as it does not violate guidelines. This is a discussion site and interaction makes as earn and we are suppose to be free to express our opinion but it's just that some people take political and religious discussions as an example too seriously, lose their cool or get too carried away, and we end up feeling upset after interacting so I sometimes also just avoid especially if I already know the member. There are also some topics that I just cannot identify with, I have no idea or simply I have nothing to say or contribute so obviously I would skip that.
