I accidentally order a Hello Fresh box

I've moved recently and so with so much going on I forgot about my hellofresh account and forgot to pause deliveries. So next week a box is being delivered. It's only 3 recipes for 2 to 3 people which would be fine but my kids aren't home right now so I will have to make the recipes on my own. At least I got $30 off the box. Normal price is $69 and I only paid $30. I am however a little annoyed with myself and I cancelled my subscription to HelloFresh until further notice. I love the recipes and even did some unboxing videos on YouTube regarding some of my deliveries but we will see. I may do another unboxing video.

Yes. I do. It's just on my current budget, I can't afford it at the regular price of $69 for the box. At least shipping is free. I spent the $29 because it's a good promotion, but I was tempted to argue for a refund.

@mikaelajuliet sometimes they have codes floating about for a free box for first time users. You just have to remember to cancel it after you receive notification that the box has been shipped.

Hey! I know you from cafemom! I'm there too! My kids are in NYC with my mom. I'm trying to find someone to drive the truck from NYC to NC with my kids, the pets, and our stuff.

@acrogodess Oh, HI! Someone there directed me to here, seems like a nice group on here! Someone there today suggested I am a catfish, which is funny, if I am, I am the best developed catfish ever! I am the same name, same pic, all over the internet, for years and years! LMBO!

It is interesting to know you worked there. I guess you will make up the recipes and freeze some of it. Or you will be eating the same thing a lot.

Well, I've been pretty much eating the same thing for two to three days when I cook anyway so it works out lol

@acrogodess Hmm. Sounds like a good deal. For one person like me, that's at least two servings of leftovers.

@KristenH if you look online you can save 50% off on your first delivery which would make your order $35. Or I can inbox you a code for $40 off your first box which would make your first box $29 if you get the classic box. And you can cancel once your order is shipped. You can check it out first to see the types of recipes they offer and I can get back to you. Naturally that's if you're interested. I would have never paid mind to the commercials on tv if I hadn't worked there temporarily and gotten so hungry putting together the boxes lol all the yummy ingredients

In all honesty, the recipes are similar to what you'd find in a nice restaurant so if you go to a restaurant and pay $15-25 per plate then the meals are a good deal. $15 times 2 is $30. $30 times 3 is $90. The "savings" are more if you manage to feed 3 people per recipe with the box. So $69 for the box is okay for an occasional treat plus the convenience of having all the ingredients delivered right to your door. Everything is fresh and local to their warehouse. And you can cook the recipes between 30-45 minutes.

Hello Lissette
Those boxes do sound like a good way to try a new recipe. And it is interesting that you worked there.
I ordered shoes from Just Fab. Now I have to make sure I login at the beginning of the month to say I don't want to "shop". Or they bill me.
At first I thought they were going to send me a random pair of shoes every month. But they don't. They just bill you and you can order what you want.
My first pair ended up costing $22. Canadian. And I got $25 in Swagbucks!. I think that was a mistake?!

@acrogodess I hope I can cancel. I was going to keep it a bit but I hope I remember to stop the payment each month! Some people at work didn't have trouble cancelling though I have read online that it was hard to cancel!
The shoes I got are nice, but not worth the actual price IMHO

@paigea I prefer ordering my sneakers from amazon - less hassle and I always get what I want

Can you cancel? I never bothered to sign up for just fab. I have big feet and can never find anything I'd actually wear lol
