Video Link: News Article: https://www.untvweb.com/news/chr-to-probe-military-ops-in-marawi-for-possible-violation-of-human-rights/ I heard from various places around the Philippine mainstream media (not just that one there) that with the death of two terrorist leaders of the Maute group, some politicians-wanna-be/playing-general are now demanding that the Martial Law in Mindanao should cease. I don't know what these people eat but boy am I glad I didn't have those on my plate. I still love my intelligence, thank you very much! I'm a Mindanaoan and I am one of those who would insist that Martial Law will still take effect until all threat to law-abiding citizens is eliminated. Why are these people who live far away from us (yeah, I'm talking to those who are so loud nowadays who sounds to me don't use that squiggly organ between their ears) would even insist on the ceasing of Martial Law? Why the heck are these people afraid of Martial Law? Do they even know what that means? Have they ever listened to their lessons about Martial Law? Or are these people among those who are physically present but mentally absent when the topic came up in school? Anyways, no general/officer-in-charge in their right minds would suddenly change organizations with a progress like this! This isn't some game that just because you've defeated the boss, the army of said boss is automatically defeated and you see on your screen the words "Victory". This isn't Xbox. This isn't SIMs. This is the reality. With countless lives on the line. This is our brothers and sisters going to the battlefield, risking their lives every day, to make sure that the terrorists wouldn't be able to set a base here in the Philippines and destroy more innocent lives. This is our civilian brothers and sisters abused and raped by the terrorists for their own sick pleasure, every single day that passes by, that the army cannot rescue them. Marawi is more than enough. Do these people even know that making sure Marawi is cleared of planted explosives is one of the things our armies need to do before leaving Marawi? Or help the civilians rebuild and get used to peaceful life again because we're lacking professionals to help us? There are still a lot of things that need to be done! Re-organization of powers and leaders, making sure the civilians are still alive and healthy physically and mentally after this ordeal, etc. Seriously, what rock did these people live under that they don't even know these things? Or have these people been living in some tower or floating castle that I didn't know about? Man, a lot of people needs some re-education! These ignorance needs to be cured soon.
