What The Hail?

Today I walked down to the mailbox. It was drizzling, nothing big. On my way back suddenly hailstones came bombarding out of the sky. Luckily I only had a few more steps until I was in the house. Once I was in the house and took off my jacket, I looked outside. What the hail? The sun was shining. No more hail. No more rain. Then I looked at the ground. Yahoo! I hadn’t lost my marbles. I hadn’t gone crazy. The weather had gone crazy. I mean rain, hail and sunshine within just a few minutes? Yeah, that’s whacked out weather. Now the wind is blowing and the pavement, which was soaking wet just fifteen minutes ago, is dry as a bone. If it wasn’t for the leaves changing colors I’d think it was a midsummer day. Oh, and the fact that a couple just rode by on bicycles wearing what looks like Alaskan coats tells me it’s not summertime anymore. I guess the weather just wants to get in the spirit of the spook–fest month of Halloween.

Who says climate change isn't real? It changes every minute! The weather behaved itself here in St Catharines and I had a pleasant day doing yardwork.

Oh - I thought I responded to you already ! That's so crazy! The wind wiped out all that evidence of hail and rain - are you sure it happened ? One could call it getting into the spirit of Hail-o-rain (Halloween ).

@RichardMeister I know the weather has been crazy - but perhaps we need to question ourselves once and a while . We are far from hail and rain . . . we are about to go crazy in this heat!

@much2say Yes, I heard about the triple digit heat in California. Right now here it's a nice 54º. I was just out to the mailbox and it was very nice. But I know this winter when it is freezing cold and snow here you'll be laughing at me in your 70º weather.

Well, I'm glad the hail didn't last that long. I'm no fan of hail.

Wow. I am so grateful I drove in mild weather the other night when I headed away from the airport. The radio is mentioning the word snow but that's just too weird for me.

Yes, snow has been mentioned in our forecast. They forecasted rain/snow mix a couple of days ago but I didn't see it.

Yes, it's good that the city was not long and you are not far from home. In us, hail often happens and sometimes does terrible things. I do not like hail too.
