Do you force yourself to be productive frequently?

I don't like forcing myself to do anything. When that happens things tend to be 10x harder for me than normal. And most of the time, forcing myself usually ends me up in a bad place. It's counterproductive even--especially when I fail. I would feel so bad that I need to stop before turning things for the worse.
Times like these are especially harder and worse when I have to work. I need to earn myself a living. I have no choice but have to move. It's only thanks to friends with helpful pieces of advice that I can pull myself out of those trap holes whenever I'm on these contraction cycles.
If you're in this kind of cycle, from me to you, my advice is to every once in a while, take a deep breath. Do things one step at a time. Even walking away for 5 minutes is a step. Just keep starting, until the task you need to do is done. If it's too big for you, cut that task down into chunks. Then cut those chunks into smaller chunks if it would help you more. And for every part that you finish, tell yourself these words: "I'm the kind of man/woman who [accomplishment here]."
Yeah, it's silly. But it helps that feeling that says 'this is hard' at bay most of the time. I hope this is helpful. Feel free to tell me what you think.

Hi, @AmbiePam, it's been a while!
I missed you.
This post happened because I just saw someone saying that they were forcing themselves to be productive and I just remembered what happened to me the other week. I was feeling so down and how a friend helped me get out of it.
I truly hope that this is a helpful post.
Thanks for dropping by.

Thanks, @LovingMyBabies ,
I hope this piece of advice would be a powerful arsenal to help you when instances like these do happen. It's okay to be in contractions because that's normal. That's life. But we also need to be able to get back up and one of the ways that I am aware of is this way. And I'm just sharing this knowledge with everyone I come across.
