Favorite "Wild" Songs #7 - "Wild Frontier"

Gee, Gary Moore shows up on one of Scott's music countdowns. Imagine that! @FourWalls started a series of favorite songs with "wild" in the title, I joined in, and here we are at Gary Moore. He's #7 on my list, with "Wild Frontier." "Over the Hills and Far Away" (not Led Zeppelin, and not The Mission) might have been the hit, but "Wild Frontier" was the song after which Irish guitarist Gary Moore named his 1987 album. That's not to say that "Wild Frontier" wasn't hit-worthy. It was. In fact, it was extremely radio friendly, moreso than "Over the Hills," which reached #20 in the UK. It was also released as a single, but I can't locate any evidence that it charted anywhere (especially not here in the US, where Moore's entire career was largely ignored.) It's too bad. "Wild Frontier," being a highly polished tune, might lack the oomph of Moore classics such as "End of the World," or "Murder in the Skies," but it's still a great song from the late guitar hero.
