I mean I sneaked a peek I got weighed this morning, and the blasted number hasn't budged! Admittedly I haven't been giving it 100% I have serious issues with binge eating though, so the fact that my weight hasn't gone up does demonstrate that I've put in a lot of effort so far this week and I just need to push it a little bit further The long and short of it is this: no more bread Previous discussions: http://new.mylot.com/post/3117435/week-1
I was just thinking about how good friends can be a reason for us to be accountable for our actions and to take responsibility, and it's given me an...

Bread is full of carbohydrates, which is not great if you are trying to lose weight. If you can cut down on bread and other foods heavy with carbs, and eat more protein instead, it will make a big difference! Good luck to you on your continued journey of weight loss. We're all rooting for you!

@moffittjc I really need to find a way to get some regular exercise that's more strenuous than walking - although I do naturally walk very fast, and can lose a surprising amount of weight that way if I'm careful enough about what I eat

@LilyBeBack I love running, it's very therapeutic! But I'm relegated to walking right now as I rehab a knee injury. I can't wait to be fully healed so I can start running again!

Thank you Today will be a serious test, Leonard's going to be out all afternoon and when I'm alone it feels impossible not to eat loads of food. I'm seriously considering just sleeping all afternoon

Come on Lily... I thought you'd be half way to your goal by today... Give me all the bread you have in the house...

@sishy7 That always reminds me of the nutty professor film with the keep fit guy on telly "Yes. I. Can!" lol, my mam says it to me ever since we watched that when I was little

Unfortunately I can't get rid of all carbs from the house because I still need them for Leonard

Thank you! I'm really struggling with it today, it's only 9 am so I'm alright for now but Leonard will be out for the afternoon today and whenever I'm alone that's a real trigger for binge eating. Right now as hard as I try, I can't stop thinking about all the food I'd could eat later I haven't got anything unhealthy in the house but that's not usually an obstacle

@mikaelajuliet weirdly that's exactly what I've been thinking today, I want to get into meditation properly anyway so this would be a good place to start

It is easy to lose weight, the hardest one is to gain it.

I know some people have difficulty gaining weight, as we're all different, but I'd say for most people it's far more difficult to lose weight than it is to put it on. I put weight on when I eat too much and don't exercise enough, and those things are easy compared to exercising more and controlling food intake

Weight loss is a battle for the strong, that is a definite. I have been trying for a couple years and haven't really lost or gained anything. I have other medical conditions that contribute to that though. Keep up the good work! Remember though, it's not about what you eat, it's the self control of NOT eating it all.
