New Jobs

So, yesterday, I got a call from a place that I applied to a couple months ago. I was pretty excited to hear from them, seeing as how I have been without a job and staying at home with the kids most of the time. Now, I don't NEED a job, but to pull in the extra cash and have some spending money for the family is always nice.
Anyhow, I got the call for a 2nd interview and then another call this morning to take the drug test. I wasn't informed on whether or not I got the position that i was seeking with the schedule that I'm looking for, so I called them back. I went ahead and asked if I had gotten the job. I was told yes, as long as my background check was good. So I'm not worried and yeah, I'll probably start working next week.
Here's the thing though. This last year was rough. It took a lot of sacrifice and hard work to get to where we are now. I have family here, in the town I live in and pretty much haven't been able to depend on them for any kind of help. Now I'm searching for someone that will be dependable enough to babysit one day a week and it's a pain in the ass.
Why is it, that even when you're expected to be dependable and loyal to someone else, they never are for you? Why is that a one way street for some people? It's annoying and honestly it makes me just hate people in general. Any thoughts?

I'm sorry you have found people undependable, especially family. Maybe you can find a good sitter or daycare from a friend who recommends it. Congratulations on the new job!

Luckily, things are actually working out where I won't need a babysitter. I'll be working on the weekends on the night shift so my hubby will be here to care for the kiddos.
