Week five and counting and counting and...

"Only" four weeks and four more days in this sling. It's definitely better than right after surgery. Got rid of the cold pack system and the Tens machine so that helped a lot. Realized I can unhook the bulky shoulder strap when I'm sitting down and that's such a relief. Also, ladies, if you ever need to wear a shoulder sling, instead of trying to get in and out of pants and button down shirts, wear those strapless, stretchy sun dresses that you can just pull up or down and not have to take the sling off. It's so much easier and more comfortable. I rode with my husband to the library to get some books this morning. Felt good to get out of the house, other than just in the back yard. Brought back lunch from a local BBQ place. Took a nap. So that's my day so far. What are you guys up to?

I bet you can't wait to get rid of that sling! It's good you got to get out of the house for a bit. I had to go to the hospital today to request copies of my CT scan and ultrasound to take to my appointment with my specialist next Tuesday. Then my mom and I went grocery shopping. Now I am home, and contemplating taking a nap.

@1creekgirl Thank you. I am seeing him to try to arrange surgery. I hope he agrees to do it (and that my insurance will cover it.)

@1creekgirl Well the first was a failure but the second saved my life and I am so gateful.for this. I live with heart problems and even work 3 days a week. Another surgery is looming for next year but as I am.passed the three score and ten may not do this one. The expense on.my children would be horrific as I do not have enough medical insurance left. I am so lucky really. Get well soon!

Great to see you back! I can't imagine two heart surgeries. Are you doing better? I'll be okay, just a long recovery.

@1creekgirl Good idea - and dance around the fire as it burns.

housework and being a playmate to a kitten! It is not a good life but guess it is better than being restricted with a sling like what you are having right now.

I'd gladly trade this sling for house work and a kitten!
