Has anyone done this. We are considering this investment opportunity in the coming year as we will ahve some $$ to play with. Dh and many of our close friends are in the trades and although it is not half as easy as many say, we enjoy these opportunities. It is just starting to get recognised as a 'good opportunity' in Canada; especially in todays market. Anyone have experience?

Hopefully I'll be able to get in on this kind of thing soon. Mylot is helping me make money towards a house. We'll see how long it takes.

I haven't done this, have been interested in finding out more information on doing it though. I have bought and sold several rent houses but like like you do when flipping them, seems it would be faster to get your investment back and hopefully a nice profit.

Flipping houses? I know on a TV show they state a certain amount of money they want to spend and they always go over. I do not see it as a great opportunity it seems as though you do so much work.

We haven't done this yet, but my husband and I have talked about it. He is a contractor, so he could do most of the work himself, which would save a lot of money. Our only problem is we don't have the money right now to invest in something like this, or we definitely would. You just have to be careful. Do your research on the neighborhood, etc. You don't want to overimprove.
