Why I don't care that my MyLot bank is frozen

Earlier this week, at my friend's preschool, a fellow worker was late for her afternoon shift. I didn't have a client that afternoon, so I said I'd stay a half an hour late. A 2-year-old had woken up from her nap, and decided that my lap would be a safe place to rest, so I chilled with her in the sand box, helped some other kids make some chocolate cake out of sand, and made some extra bucks. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. Is your bank frozen too?

Some tough job when you're getting those kinds of cuddles and can have chocolate sand cake.

Yep. It's tough. They even put whip cream on my sand cake if I ask for it.

It's a job of patience. To be honest I had no time to check my bank. We had Internet tech guys coming to switch our line to fiber, so I had a couple of busy days.

@TheHorse They had to come back today, the new plug they installed had a problem and my line was disconnected time by time. Now it's fine, let's hope not to have more problems.

I thought you wanted to lose a few pounds, pony, not gain extra weight (and cause yourself a problem when you wipe) by eating chocolate sand cake? Sandpaper potty paper, anyone? WOW! What a pain in the tush! Yeah, rub it in, you have a good job and the rest of us have sucky jobs, pony. (grinning at you!) No problem with my bank, that I can see. It is still ticking along.

@TheHorse Yup! Mommy might not like seeing little spots of blood after she wipes little tushes! I wonder why your bank freezes sometimes? I've never noticed mine doing that.

Mine froze and then unfroze. Occasionally I have to remind the kids only to "pretend eat the cake" or it will feel scratchy coming out the other end.

I used to love making mud pies! My bank seemed frozen, but I could just be doing awful these last few days, I will check it later today. Have a good Friday!

Mine started moving again over night, even though I didn't get a lot of comments. I assume it was one of those self-correcting glitches.

I haven't noticed it frozen. I've done better the last couple of days. Chillin' in a sandpit. How cool is that?

Just a random glitch, I reckon. It picked up overnight, when I wasn't even active. I hope I never get tired of playing with 4-year-olds.

@paigea What fun! I actually have a "physics" orientation with the preschoolers, as that was my first major in College. When we build a stacky tower, I'll talk about why it stands or falls (center of gravity). And when we have water in the outside sensory table, I'll put things in there that float (corks) and sink (rocks). I never mention the words "density" or "water displacement," but the kids learn the concepts intuitively by doing.

@TheHorse kindergarten to grade 6! Never know what I'll be called for. Small towns have schools that are k to 12. So even though I only sub up to grade 6; Sometimes the grade one teacher also teaches physics!

@TheHorse Being a landlady pays more than the caregiver job, but making my own homestead is harder and no pay but the rewards are better.

@TheHorse I'm not sure.... I don't think I know any 4 year olds. Little ones (generally speaking) usually confuse me... I can't seem to suss out what they want
