I had a squint eye by birth. I was told by my mother that when I was a child, people used to tell my dad that those who have squint eyes are lucky persons. But my grandfather who was an ENT specialist told my dad to get the squint corrected by an operation. When I was 9 years, it was operated and only some percentage of squint was corrected. I am scared to go one more time to get it corrected fully. When I had full squint, I had no problem reading. But many people used to comment. Now that it is operated and corrected, I do not have any problem and no body comments. But I did not find my self lucky as said by some people.

What is the cost of operation in your place. Is the operation painful?

I do not have squint eye, but my friends have. My uncle is a doctor who used to tell that those who have squint eye, they should get corrected through an operation (it would take 1 to 2 hours) but after operation it would take 2 to 3 days to do normal work.

Any body else in the family have squint eye. If so, did they get it corrected through minor operation?
