Fellow MyLotter @JustBhem asked “Do you still like watching a movie even you already watch it many times?” I answered the question and then while going through a list of recommended YouTube videos I came across this piece from the soundtrack of a movie that I can't watch enough times!! Gladiator (2000) starring Russell Crowe. This music is so moving. I can't listen to the soundtrack enough times either! “Now We Are Free”. Not only can I listen to it over and over and watch the movie over and over, but the movie and the soundtrack go on my “Forever and Longer Than That” list.
The theme by Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard from the 2000 Ridley Scott film "Gladiator" with Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielson, Oliver Reed, Derek J...

This is an oldie, but I really like the Music Man soundtrack and of course the movie! As mentioned The Godfather soundtracks are also excellent.

The Godfather soundtracks are phenomenal! Music Man? You mean the film with "Marion. Madam librarian." Love it!

I grew up watching 3 movies in particular; they were watched so often, my dad had to replace the VHS copies a good 5 different times! Then he bought the DVD versions, ripped them to his computer, and often made me burned copies when they got too scratched and ruined to be watched! To this day, I never get sick of them. They are Savannah Smiles, Pete's Dragon (obviously the original and good version), and Labyrinth (with David Bowie.) Movies for soundtracks that I never tire of are the Step Up movies. Maybe I'm a bit odd in that, though, but I've never been a big movie or TV show person. I've only just recently begun watching more shows and movies.

@SimiWolfie - Your memories must be sweet. Your dad sounds like a tech wizard. My memories of my late father was as a kind scholarly gentleman. He read a lot and was a very "gentle" man. Never heard anybody say anything bad about him.

@cmoneyspinner My dad quickly adapted to some newer forms of technology. He knew things not even I did. He used to build desktop computers from scratch and built me a whole gaming PC from an Alienware case! He would burn DVDs, and even compile an entire season of a TV show onto one disc! Man, I miss him.

@cmoneyspinner Yes, I have many memories. My father was an amazing man and he's dearly missed. My condolences for your father. I am sorry if I brought up any bad memories for you.

I haven't thought about soundtracks to movies, but there have been a few I could listen to many times, and still enjoy. The soundtracks to "O, Brother Where Our There", "Shrek", and "Pan's Labyrinth" . I remember the movie Gladiator, but not the music.

The soundtrack for "O, Brother Where Our There" is outstanding. I am not familiar with the other two. I'll keep them in mind though.

I have quite a few: Casablanca, The Godfather, and The Blues Brothers. On the subject of soundtracks, the music in The Blues Brothers is great. Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin each steal the show with their song.

Add it to your Watch List. I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed. ~ "Don't die. They will feed you to the lions. The lions are worth more than us." ~ "Is Rome worth the life of one soldier? He was a soldier of Rome. Honor him!"

I do love Russell Crowe; except for that Noah movie. I blame the script writers. But Crowe did the best he could with the words they gave him.

If you listen to the soundtrack, you'll want to watch the movie. If you watch the movie, you'll want to listen to the soundtrack, with or without the movie.

I never saw Gladiator. I have seen Gone with the Wind twice and probably after a long time of not seeing it watch it again.
