Referral earnings on mylot! i think it must come here again!!

Quite apart from the very valid points @JoilietJake makes in the discuission he mentions, there are economic reasons why myLot is very unlikely to introduce a referral program in the near future. The site has a finite amount of money available for distribution each month. If some of that also has to be used to pay a proportion for referrals, it would reduce the amount which people can earn through direct and valid interaction. An increase in membership does not necessarily increase the revenue (from page views) so myLot is less interested in the number of members than in the quality and 'busyness' of the discussions posted and those who are interested mainly in what they can earn here do not, on the whole, produce quality discussions.

sometimes when there's a referral system, people are more focused on recruiting other people to earn from them. they see this as another site to earn from, but not get involved. they don't even orient or help the people they recruited.

I think with referrals people would be busy recruiting looking for referrals instead of interacting.

I don't know about the referral thing before, and if ever that they will bring back that referral system, It's still the same for me, I don't want to recruit.

I think earnings by ourselves is quite good, there's no need seek for other people and motivate them, like it supposed in a lot of Internet schemes, where sometimes it becomes the main method.

There will always advantage and disadvantage. to bad new users will not enjoy it.

I cannot recruit much referrals but it would be great as I can bring only two or three referrals I think.

I think it would be a good idea if there was more ways to earn on here.
