Favorite Australian Bands #10 - Icehouse

It's time for yet another music countdown, this one the idea of @JudyEv , who suggested a series on my favorite bands from her native Australia. I have, in the past, done both German and Canadian bands, so yeah, I'm in. The #10 slot belongs to Icehouse. Led by vocalist Iva Davies, Icehouse hails from Sydney. The band formed under the moniker, Flowers, in 1977, and, as is usually the case with bands with such longevity, are still going strong despite numerous lineup changes (the group is now known as Iva Davies and Icehouse.) Icehouse's biggest success came in the 1980's, due to hits such as "Crazy," and "Electric Blue" (both Top 5 in Australia, with the latter reaching #1 there, and both Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.) Their 1987 album, Man of Colours, is, as of 2006 at least, the biggest selling album by an Australian band in that country. Having achieved over 28×platinum sales in Australia alone (eight Top 10 albums and 20 Top 40 singles,) Icehouse is in the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame.
