How many of you check the weather news or whatever to see what the weather will be like for that day?

I have something on one of the news I check online and it has the weather for the day. I have found that when I check it does not necessarily have the same weather it says is going to happen here. It is suppose to be partly cloudy outside and I am looking out now and the sun is coming out. There were days it said partly cloudy and there were blue skies. So, do you blieve the weather people when they tell you what day you will have?

I watch the local weather channel every morning before I head out to the pool. It lets me know the temp and what's going on outside at the time. This morning was snow - So that made my day, and I dressed accordingly. When I left my apartment, I saw snow on the car, and felt it. It was the tiniest of flakes, so hard to see, but I did see it by the time I got to the Y.

@Hannihar Minneapolis has already had snow in the past week. No, I don't mind it. I love snow, and don't mind cleaning it off, unless the wind chills are severe, then I probably won't be going anywhere. I like a nice winter day without severe wind chills. I'm glad I'm retired and have a choice whether to go out or not.

I hate snow, but, when I had my dog here in Jerusalem I loved to watch her have such a good time when we got snow. She would play in it and have a good time. I had nothing to clean off. I do not have a car here and if it snows they close things down here. I am happy for your Valerie that you can decide when to go out or not. I wish I could do that. I have had appointments in very bad weather that I had to take my scooter out to them. Thanks Valerie and I do not miss Minneapolis or their winters.

I take it Valerie you love snow and do not mind cleaning off your car over and over again. I moved to Israel in November 1986. I had my last winter in Minneapolis and I remember cleaning off my car from snow and then going in and out of buildings and having to do it several times. I so glad to say goodbye to Minneapolis's winters. We have winter here in Jerusalem. It rains and when get snow at times.

@Hannihar Yes! Luckily it wasn't anything major so the car still looks clean.

Due to the nature of my job (I manager outdoor public swimming pools and athletic complexes), it is very important that I check on the weather every day! I have three different weather apps that I check throughout the day. The funny thing is, the three apps never seem to agree on what the weather will be like for each day! They're always wrong it seems!

@Hannihar I am in upper management, so I spend most of my days in the office. I actually have several offices scattered throughout the city, so which office I'm in each day depends on what I am working on that day!

Jeff that is good that you spend most days in the office and not out in bad weather. Do you have much bad weather there where you live in Florida?

It's not that I don't believe them. I just don't do it. I never check the weather forecast from the time I learned to read until now.

I check the weather forecast on my computer and TV everyday. I am always annoyed when they are wrong with the forecast. I have a small clock from LL Bean that uses batteries and an outside sensor to tell me what the temperature is throughout the day. Love that gadget!

DB, I check to see the temperature and the weather I just hope when I go out it is a decent day. It said rain today but it still could do it. Right now it doesn't really look like rain. I am used to them not getting it right here. I still like to check anyways.

Annie, I checked the weather today and it said partly cloudy so I did not put my clothes I washed out to dry right away and then the sun came out and it is beautiful today so they went out to dry on the porch. I cannot believe our weather but the problem is if I have to be gone the whole day I am not sure what to wear or not to wear.

@Hannihar to be honest, it depends on where I'm checking it for. Like for example, if I am checking the weather for Las Vegas, it's pretty accurate.. but if I am checking the wether for a place that is known to have pretty bipolar weather like the Central Valley or San Francisco, or definitely isn't that accurate. I don't even rely on it anymore and just bring an extra jacket with me most of the time. You never know if it might get windy, rainy, or cold.

I have not listened to weather report lately. We have had some very gray rainy days and they have made me feel low. Yesterday we had more rain and heavy wind and today we have sun and heavy wind but I feel better.
