Hello fellow myLotters. My colleague shared with me how she lost weight so fast like in a month she lost already 20 pounds, she said A keto diet is well known for being a low carb diet, where the body produces ketones in the liver to be used as energy. Like not eating rice and bread. Do you think this diet scheme is effective?

The best diet I believe is self discipline. I have never tried losing weight all my life so I have no idea about it at all. What I have tried was gaining weight and it was very difficult for me until my cousin, who's a doctor, taught how to do it effectively. All it took was self-discipline. So I believe in every goal we want to achieve, we have to do it with self-determination and self-discipline no matter what diet program that is.

Yes big sister! I think it works well as it works with us here but I don`t totally remove eating rice and bread but minimize eating it. Like I ate 1 slice of bread in the morning and some ham and lunch would be more meat and only half cup of rice then dinner time more on light things just soup or salad or fruits

The best diet that will work for you is the one that you will follow through all the time. Having said that, I'm encouraged by a friend of mien to try Ketogenic diet although I still have my reservations. I'm on an intermittent diet for about two months already and right now, I'm trying to take away most of the carbs in my diet.

Yes it works very well. Ketones are the byproduct though. Not used as energy.

Maybe it goes well with her body. There are some who still do not eat these but they are still adding weight.

Then, It has something to do with hormonal imbalance which must be checked by an OBGYNE to help you handle it well
