I take the beach. Better view. Beachcombing.

Mornings are best at the pool, or evenings, but afternoons are best suited to be at the beach, when the action begins with sun and surf and playing. People need both pool and beach and if you feel better being alone, then that is right no matter where you are, but alone at the pool is no fun. Alone at the beach if you want is fine if that is even possible. Usually the beach is full of people.

Both are great places to lounge around and swim but the beach is my preferred place between the two.

I have not been to either in a long time. I would pick beach because you have the sand.

Well I cannot stand in the sun too long. It is not good for me and I burn to a crisp fast. I do like to walk on the beach but then I need a beach umbrella. So actually I would prefer spending the day by a pool in the shade and cooling off now and then in the water.

I always grew up with a pool in my backyard since I was about 10 years old. We would go to the shore in New Jersey for a few weeks in the summer but as I grew up I hated going into the water and loved the clean pools. I do love the ocean in the islands in the Caribbean though.
