Hello everyone, my friends and i are planning on a trip abroad, and we narrowed it down to Hong Kong or Singapore. It is our first trip abroad so i really want it to be worth it - and a bit hassle free. Both places are great based from what i read online, but i can't really decide which one is better. We are currently leaning on Hong Kong since they have Disneyland but a friend of mine recently went there and said the place was a bit disorderly and dirty Any thoughts? Thank you so much

Disneyland in Hong Kong is small and crowded in my opinion. So I prefer to go to Ocean Park in Hong Kong. The cable car is interesting and the view is great. It is also crowded but I think the people will be still less than Disneyland. It is also crowded in Universe Studio in Singapore. Although Singapore is a small country, but it has many things to explore and I like it. Everywhere is clean and beautiful. In Hong Kong you will still see some old buildings, but it is hardly to see it in Singapore. As to the food, I think Hong Kong is better. It is delicious and there are more choices.

@lady1993 Oh, usually it will be crowded in weekends If you go there in working days, it will be better for sure.

Do you think food in Hong Kong is better than in the mainland?

I have gone to Singapore. It is a very nice place. It is very clean and beautiful. There are many places for sightseeing. I would suggest you visit Singapore as it is your first trip abroad. I assure you would definitely love the place.

Singapore have USS :) Compare to HK, SG is a lot cleaner and organized. How many days is your allotted time? 4 days is enough for both country.

I would not take Hong Kong as a choice only because they have Disneyland. Singapore would be my choice.

@lady1993 I have been to Disneyland in California, Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in Paris. The two parks in the United States are A LOT better than the one in France.

well, I usually go to HK once or twice a year. HK is near where I live. I have never been to Sigapore, but I wouldn't take it as my first choice. For the culture we share, I would prefer to go some different cultures from us.

how is HK? I heard they have the best public transportation based on an article, but it is better to get first hand information from people who have actually been there

@lady1993 er, how to say, not bad. The public transportation is convenient. The food is good, but I prefer to have meals in my local place.

Did you go yet? Personally, I would choose Hong Kong, but I think both are awesome choices! I want to visit both. They are on the top of my list of places I want to visit. Hong Kong has so many things to see. Also, have a reputation for having really good food. I think I have even read it being called the gourmet capital of the world (or one of them).
