Internet in the Philippines is so slow

My family only had internet connection for a decade and we subsribed to the cheapest DSL one. but it was quite an improvement from the dial up connection where you have to wait for almost 30 minutes to load a 3 minute video. But i hear people abroad have really high internet speeds for a cheap price. I hope it will be like that in the Philippines too. And whenever we have problems with our connection, it takes a long while to be solved and there is rarely a rebate.

We have a fast connection, it's hard to work online with a slow connection.

I heard Jack Ma criticizes something like that when she went to Philippines. we were able to upgrade our subscription and now were using 10mgb speed.

I don't know that the dial up connection is still available. I think when there are more competitors, then the price and the internet speed will have a big improvement.

yes, there have been some rumors that some foreign companies will open up here, but then they never do I guess it will be bad news to current internet providers

It's fast where we are and it's not exactly cheap but still affordable. Good to see you around again, by the way. It's been a while...

I'll decode 'met isfusyratinf' as 'net is frustrating'...

I can relate coz I am from the Philiipines too. And I notice that as time goes by, the internet speed from the mobile provider are getting slower and slower. I though when president Duterte got elected as the president, there will some changes regarding this matter, but no, it is getting worse.
