My son used to be really huge on "Daniel Tiger" and "Mother Goose Club" when he was real little. Now that he's 3 1/2 all he ever watches now is "Moana" (which I do love by the way), "Trolls" (the songs aren't bad) and "Super Why" (yay for educational)
I know it is normal for kids to watch things over and over and over...and over again. I think I used to watch "The Lion King" constantly when it first came to VHS.
I just wish I could try to get him to read more other than bed time. He likes to dance to music which is really cute though :-)
To all you parents, what are or were your kids favorite thing to watch? Did you mind it, drown it out or did it drive you insane?
All I know is, I don't let him stay glued to the TV because he is a very out doorsy kid. So when he is entranced by a TV show, that gives me a little relaxation time. Yay for me!

TV is so educational which I love! My kids have no interest in watching it all the time either, they love being outside fishing or jumping on the trampoline. My young ones love the curious buddies, caillou, barney and dora.
My older children really only watch Youtube most of the time. They enjoy "how to" videos. My son loves videos about magic tricks, my daughters love make up tutorials along with making slime. Lol.

That's so cool that your older children use Youtube to enhance their mind and do stuff for themselves :-)
I tried Barney and Sesame street. Did not catch on lol.

@DanieGirl80587 Yeah, they love those video's! I never liked Sesame Street as a child either but I loved Barney. And it teaches so many good things. =)

@DanieGirl80587 I wont make my kids watch earlier Princesses like Snow white and Cinderella though. Not good role models. One is dumb as rocks and the other is a Gold digger.

I feel my son is a bit too young and wont appreciate them. I love both Disney and Studio Ghibli, but I grew up with Disney as a kid, so they will always hold a special place in my heart. :-)

you are right. I too do not like kids to stay at home. I allow them out to play with others.
