Will you work overtime on your day off?

Good evening! Just getting to work early and debating on whether or not to sign up for a short shift of overtime on my day off, this upcoming Monday. I also have Sunday off.
For some reason I ended up going in to work on my last "weekend" off (I work with rotating days off and usuallu my off days do not land on a weekend). I put 6.5 hours of overtime in last week on my day off and debating on picking up 4 more on Monday. On one hand, its nice and probably good for my sanity to not be at workon my off days. On the other hand, since most folks are working and unavailable, i dont have any plans for Monday as of yet. Would 4 hours kill me? Probably not.
Part of me wants to take advantage of the overtime while I can and make that extra money. Clearly I am torn. Haha.
Do you ever have the opportunity to do this? Would you or wouldnt you?

When I worked at the post office we had what was called the ODL, or "Overtime Desired List." As you could make along the lines of $20 an hour, the use of overtime was based on seniority. Thankfully, those days are behind me.
I have gone in the office and worked on a Sunday after I've had to be off for doctor's appointments or an off day for a concert. I don't think anything about it. My boss is cool: as long as the work gets done!

@maezee -- I did, but that was a long time ago (when "going postal" was a real threat and not a catchphrase used to describe mass shootings). In fact, it was 23 years ago this week that I was given my settlement and gleefully left the employ of USPS (which I pronounce us pus). I didn't like it, but I'm not into being a pawn in the "management" versus "union" chess game, which is all it seemed to be.

In these days it is very common for me to work overtime even if it is on my days off, such as at night and weekends. I am a responsible person and I like to finish my work well. This is why I often stay online to see whether there is something urgent to deal with.

I could write a book on this.
But at this time of year I would grab every extra hour I could get.
The holiday season is rarely a cheap time of year and extra money is never a bad thing.
You are still young and energetic and the thought of a bigger paycheck should amply offset any sanity issues you may think you might experience.
Treat yourself to something nice for yourself as a reward for all your hard work and any sacrifice you have made.
Works for me and has done for 40 years

If I had nothing else planned I might if the money was worth it. Maybe split he difference and just do two hours?

As long as it doesn't compromise your health. I mean, sure you get to earn more money and just to spent it on medical bills? if you can then go for it.

I used to work all the over time I could get. I did good most of the time with over time.

I always work overtime if given the chance. I can always use the extra money.

@maezee I agree it is better to work it into the days you are working if you can. We all look forward to our days off.

I would not work overtime on my off day. I would like to relax and enjoy my off day. I would like to spend time with my family. Moreover, I am doing my work without leaving it pending. So I would definitely will not work on my off days.
