Pluto is the Red Planet?

I was in my local Trader Joe's doing some shopping. On the frozen food aisle, I noticed that a little girl, maybe 11 years old was staring at me with big curious eyes. I came face to face with her and her mom on the next aisle. The little girl said, "Did you go to Pluto?"
I had the t-shirt in the photo on. On the back is a winery photo. The place is called "Marsh-Anne Landing" (a mashup of the owners' names). I was a bit mystified at her question at first, but smiled and said it was about a winery. She said "Oh, I thought you were an astronaut."
I decided not to correct her about Mars being known as the "red planet" and that Pluto is officially not a planet any longer. I did not want to embarrass her.
I hope her mom knows and explains.

Kids are so cute, I love the questions they ask so innocently.

Yes, I couldn't imagine why she was staring at first.

Right, or that Mars is called the red planet. I hope she learns all that. It was cute though.

@JamesHxstatic - I love it when kids are brave enough to blurt out their questions. I am glad you were encouraging to her!

Pretty neat story there, I do not care if she is wrong. Neat at her curiosity and bet a child like that will learn one way or another because she wants to find out what is right and not what people tell her. My outlook anyway. Thanks for sharing

@JamesHxstatic , Well that sounds a bit like a play on words that any kid would be likely to misinterpret. Funny though. I had to laugh on this one.

That is really cute. That is really something a little girl would notice your t-shirt but not really understand it So, do a lot of people stop and ask you about your t-shirt?

At least she was curious enough to ask...That is important...Sounds like a bright kid.
In my years of teaching I find it is wanting to know that gets you ahead
