What is something you miss doing that you can't do now that you have kids? I love my kids with everything but there are some little things I miss. Like being able to just leave the house on my own without having to pack up the kids. Or just being about to make plans with friends without having to get a babysitter. lol :) Or enjoying coffee without someone crawling on me hahahah. But one good thing is I never feel alone with 2 kids around all the time. There is never a dull moment.

All parents feel that way when there kids are young but the years pass quickly. I sure do miss those days now that my children are grown.

The only thing I wish I could do more often that I can't do is have dates with my husband. That was our choice though to have kids before we really had that "dating" stage. We did miss out on that and I wish we have money for a babysitter but we don't.
But I'm hoping we will live long enough to enjoy dating each other when the kids are grown. =) For now I just enjoy each moment I can with my children since they grow too fast!

I think a lot of parents feel similarly. How old are your kids? Both are my kids are in school during the day, so I get as much things done while they are there. I get most of the shopping and errands done. The only plans I make with friends is basically coffee time because they work and are limited on time as well. I get to take alone walks or have some me time to do what I want (even myLot time ). So when I pick them up, I'm feeling ok to get back into parentdom again . Many things get easier as they get older .

My daughter is 12 (almost 13) and my son just turned 8. So they are not super little anymore. Things get easier as they become more independent.

I can relate to the coffee one
My son's just learned that he can't touch my hot drinks and he's started pointing and saying "T!" for "cup of tea" whenever he sees a cup The funniest part is that he points with his middle finger, so from behind he looks like he's swearing
I miss going to bed without wondering if he'll sleep through or if there'll be a sleep interval for a bottle and nappy change, or five sleep intervals for teething pain
