Are you happy with your height?

Good morning my lotters. I am a lady tall in height and I work in a law firm. One of my colleagues a lawyer in profession is so possessed with my height that everyday she compares her height with mine. She has tried different high heeled shoes as high as 1 inch to reach my height to no avail. I always joke with her "Let the rain rain on you and you will get much taller". Has your height ever been an issue to you. Has tallness or shortness ever bothered you? I believe most of us height comes from the family.

I have two sisters who claim to be only 5'11 3/4". One of them writes here on myLot. I'm quite happy to be just as smidgen over 6'5". My oldest son is 6'5 1/2". My youngest will likely be taller when he finishes growing as well. My wife is only 5'8" but is as tall as the tallest man on her side of the family. I have an adult friend at work who is only 4'9" and I thought she was short till I met her mother who looks to be several inches shorter yet. They're both adorable.

I am also taller than almost everyone in the family and my daughters are all tall too. I guess we have the genes of tallness.

My height is fine by me eventhough my working friends teased me sometimes that if I could only have an extra 2 more inches taller then I can apply for a beauty pageant thing but I really don`t mind as long as I know I carried myself good

I am the short one in our family. My parents were both four inches taller than me. My seven siblings were all 4-10 inches taller than me. My husband is 7 inches taller...my children from 1-9 inches taller. By now you've come to the conclusion that I am short. When I'm with family...I feel short. I am in fact 5' 7.5" tall. I wear heels...up to 4". I carry myself with pride.

I am short and I have to ask taller people at the supermarket to reach up high for me to get something down if I need it. Why do they have to put things up high for people that cannot reach them.

That is the advantage we taller people have, we can easily reach things. the only disadvantage is that tall people cannot get short but short people can add their height by wearing shoes which are high heeled.

Haha I am also rather tall for a female - at 5'10 but I rarely wear heels. I dont like to tower over others plus heels are just uncomfortable for me. But good for you for embarcing it!

I'd rather be a bit taller, for seeing over people at concerts and for basketball. But I'm happy with my body overall. It's been good to me so far. I think people attribute "power" to height, among other things.

My height also has been an advantage to me. While in school it made me always be chosen in certain games which was a privilege for me.

Sometimes I wish I had two inches more in my height. But it is not an issue for me. I am an average in height so I think this is enough for me. That is good you are taller, you can be a basketball player.

My family is short, and I'm shorter than I like to be as I shrunk over the years. I'm under 5', which makes it difficult to reach a lot of things in the cupboards without a stepstool. I could use about 5".
