I think the origins is from Thailand,if I'm not wrong...Kuman Tong in Singapore is known as "baby ghost".we keep them & treat them like our "son".Tales abt them is that they can fulfil your wishes if they are powerful enough,like help your business prosper or help to help riches/wealth to you by means of lottery (not sure how true is this)
