We Have Snow

No disappointments today. It's a perfect day, as far as I'm concerned. I know a lot of you don't like snow or winter. In fact one of the ladies at the ladies brunch this morning had a shirt on that said "I don't do Winter". Winter has always been my favorite season of the year.
With everything going on today, the snow actually made my decision for me. The roads were just a bit slick. I almost turned around and came back home, but I persevered and continued to the brunch. It was great! There were a lot of ladies from church. So this is the only thing I'm doing today. I'm not going to risk an accident on slippery roads.
My friend called me from the Author Fair and asked if I was going. I told her I wasn't, and blamed it on the weather, which did give me a good excuse not to go.
The picture is one I took just a few minutes ago. Now, of course I'm home, and starting to warm up as it is a bit cold out there. One of the signs said 28 F, but I don't know what the wind chill factor is, which I'm sure is at least half that.
I hope you're all having a good day. My plans for today are to interact and write. I want to get at least 3000 more words written today. Thanks for reading.

Never understood how people hate snow. I love it so much.

@Courtlynn I know, right? I've been wanting an early winter for years. I think we're going to have it this year. There's been snow in the forecast for a couple weeks now, but usually goes north of us.

We had flurries the other day. Also have snow in the mountains. Skiing might start by Thanksgiving this year.

@just4him All our cars have 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive, except for our sports car. Even so, I never felt safe enough driving in the snow and ice, mostly because of the lunatics on the road. Now I just have to worry about lunatics on dry roads.

I don't mind winter at all, any more. It use to depress me, thinking about cold weather. Now, it's the heat that I don't like, in any way shape or form. I dress warm and enjoy the snow, every single year!

I am surprised people would go out in that weather. The lady with the shirt about snow I like that. I hate winter. When you have a dog and get snow it is fun to watch the dog play in it. We get snow here in Jerusalem in winter but not all the time. So, far we still have nice weather so cannot really call this winter yet. I am sure ti will come before I know it.

I like snow too, and I more like heavy snow, It covered the ground ,then the ground look like more neat. but this snow is too small.lol

Yeah, I was tickled that the Pack won. But I am so pissed that the Cowboys lost to the Falcons. What a nightmare. You'd think that just because Elliott is banned for a minimum of 4 games that nobody else could do their job. Dak was pathetic and so was everybody else. Dak got sacked 8 times. I'm surprised they even got 7 on the board.

We got a couple of flurries but I saw on the news Chicago got a bit. My son also told me they got some in Lansing Michigan as well and really slippery roads.

@just4him I couldn't agree more. The older I get the more I am afraid of falling. Glad if it's slippery out there I don't have to go out.
