Time to put on a mask again!

It’s Monday tomorrow and I have to put my teacher mode on again... I need to put aside these negative emotions and chant again and again in my head “Be at the moment, Be calm, Smile.”
I know that I’m going to asked to make a lot of reports again and I’ll have to smile through all the irritating situations I face, my only consolation is that I do love teaching...
I think I’ll avoid negative people tomorrow, for my peace of mind...

For all of us here in Metro Manila we will all be having a break because of the 3 day special non-working holiday and class suspension due to the ASEAN summit.

@marapplestiffy yes, students should continue opening their books and do advanced readings, at times schools initiate make up classes on Saturdays. What grade level do you teach?

@louievill 5th grade, ideally yes, but the truth is 5th graders are so into computer games that if they get a long holiday it’s going to be a guarantee that 95% of them would waste it on computer games or other activities...and to be honest you cannot expect 100% attendance during those make-up classes...the most you can expect and that is when you’ve communicated a lot with the parents is 85% or 88%, I teach in a rural poor public school...

I do love a holiday but I also find it negatively affects my pupils learning so I do want to have classes tomorrow it’s just that it’s takes a lot to put on a mask of a fully functioning adult

It’s hard when you work at the same place...but yes it’s definitely easier to stay away from them.

Negative people need positive people to change their attitude.

If they are willing to change but some are not or they don’t really see anything wrong with their actions in the first place...
