Do you listen to sad songs when you are sad?

For some people, this combination of music type with that feeling is a complete match. I particularly prefer to hear something that elevates my spirit in a positive way, so... I'd rather hear something hectic, happy. How this work for you?

Sad songs say so much, as Elton John once sang. I like the sad songs I’m happier times though, and I’ll take the butt-kicking bluegrass to quell the dumps.

I love sad songs actually because it's soulful. I can feel what the writer is trying to convey. But I do not want to hear sad songs when I am down. I opt not to play any kind of music when I am sad. Watching movies or TV is more effective to me.

if I am sad I will listen to the song fitted my feeling, if I am in love I am also listening to love songs if I am happy I am also listening to happy songs and most of all I am the one singing to any song fitted my feelings.

I'd say not so sad songs, but somewhat melancholic, romantic, rock and electronic music is a great way to relax too.
