Lost TV Show...

Does anyone remember seeing the tv series of Lost? It came out 2004. I like the show very much. Even though it had a few scenes they didn't need to show. But I liked to story plot and all. What I don't really understand is the last episode. Can someone explain the last episode to me? Were they already dead to begin with or what? If so, why did they show them alive living on the island? If someone can give me a simple version to help put all these pieces together, I would appreciate it.

@coltbiz Malisia, I am not sure we have it here. I have found other things I want to watch right now. I am watching Winona Earp. and it is really good.
