Originally when I purchased my perpetual calendar it came with a number of holiday pieces. For thanksgiving it had this turkey that I just really didn't like. I used it because it was part of the set and I didn't have anything else to really put in its place.
Then it kinda hit me. When I think of thanksgiving, I think of my husband's pumpkin pies. That's like the best part of thanksgiving besides spending it with loved ones.
So I painted over the bird and tried my hand at a pumpkin pie!
Now it represents the holiday in my house. What icon would best represent your family's thanksgiving day or other holiday?

Danged if I know. These days our holidays mean mostly hubby being off work and me setting out the English and Bavarian china. This year I plan on making a cherry pie for Thanksgiving. We're stuffing a squash with home made cornbread.

A table full of people laughing and talking while they eat. That would be mine. Memories of my grandparent's home for the holidays.
