Originally when I purchased my perpetual calendar it came with a number of holiday pieces. For thanksgiving it had this turkey that I just really didn't like. I used it because it was part of the set and I didn't have anything else to really put in its place. Then it kinda hit me. When I think of thanksgiving, I think of my husband's pumpkin pies. That's like the best part of thanksgiving besides spending it with loved ones. So I painted over the bird and tried my hand at a pumpkin pie! Now it represents the holiday in my house. What icon would best represent your family's thanksgiving day or other holiday?

Danged if I know. These days our holidays mean mostly hubby being off work and me setting out the English and Bavarian china. This year I plan on making a cherry pie for Thanksgiving. We're stuffing a squash with home made cornbread.

oh wow! We do not have any fine china aside from a piece here and there picked up at yard sales! My husband has to work nights for black friday sales... its so sad, his store is open on thanksgiving!

A table full of people laughing and talking while they eat. That would be mine. Memories of my grandparent's home for the holidays.

Thanksgiving would be turkey, rolls and pies next to one another. While christmas would be the tree
