veterinary college in Scotland maybe Edinburgh

I have a 17 year old daughter, Joanna, who woud like to study in Edinburgh Veterinary College as she comes from Ireland and she has to do the Leaving Certificate would she be ok in Edinburgh on her own. she is doing all 3 sciences. maths, Irish English Spanish and Maths. over here in Ireland its done by a point system and she'll need 580 points and there's only 1 university in the whole of Ireland. she has another 2 years of schooling here but we have to look at the options early. Could anyone out there help even if its a different Veterinary college and how much would the fees be? thanks from Sandra

I do not know much about the Veterinary College but Edinburgh is a fantastic place.
I stayed there many times on my own when I was younger, and as a student there is so much to do and see and she will make many friends very quickly so she will not be on her own
